Jake Paul did not wait long to taunt Claressa Shields after she suffered her first MMA defeat on Wednesday night.
The three-weight boxing world champion and double Olympic gold medallist had not previously lost a fight of any kind since her amateur boxing defeat to Savannah Marshall in 2012.
However, to test herself further she decided to transition into MMA with PFL earlier this year.
In her first bout against Brittney Elkin, Shields came from behind to secure a late stoppage.
Second time around though, this was not to be.
Abigail Montes dominated Shields in the final round to secure a split decision victory.
In the past, Shields has had harsh words for Jake.
He reacted by posting a statement which read: “The truth hurts, but it’s necessary
“Claressa Shields is a loser. In MMA and even more so with her prima donna attitude.
“The fake always get exposed. Losses come when anger and hate take over. Just ask [Ronda] Rousey and [Conor] McGregor.
“She spent more time berating Jake Paul than learning Jiu Jitsu.
“She’s never been a big draw and, unfortunately for her, she never will be.
“Amanda Serrano (the GWOAT) though, has 30 KOs in 42 fights. 2-0 in MMA, both wins by submission. Congrats Abigail Montes on the win.”
He tweeted the statement with the caption: “I love karma, Claressa Shields.
“Congrats Abigail Montes! Someone get her a Twitter!”
